Together Again

When I look at you today,

I see you in a different place and time.

50 years ago.

Every once in a while

I catch a glimpse.

Of a memory.

You said you never forgot me.

You kept searching.

Unaware, I kept chasing

unrealistic fantasies.

And now, here you are.

Here WE are.

Together.

Again.

Bringing the treasures of the intervening years

With us.

To share for as long as we have left.

I’m so happy you didn’t give up.

On me.

On us.

Life was beautiful again.
