Fairies and Such
In the stillness of the
evening –
Hush now, don’t make a
sound –
If you close your eyes
and listen
You may hear them all
around.
Wait patiently in
silence.
Be as quiet as you can
–
For the Fairies are a
skittish lot
And have no trust of Man.
But, if you’re among
the lucky,
And you promise not to
tell,
They will lightly brush
your face
With their wings to wish
you well!
