Mother Nature is angry.

Furious, in fact.

She gave us so many beautiful gifts:

Forests

Flowers

Rivers

Oceans

Animals

And what have we done?

Cut down the forests.

Polluted the air, rivers and oceans.

Killed the animals.

Poisoned the food.

So many good people trying to undo the damage.

But there are too many bad people perpetuating the destruction.

And they cannot feign ignorance.

Just greed.

It breaks one’s heart to watch.

To try to help, but realize your efforts are too little.

And probably too late.

We now live on a dying planet.

If there really ARE aliens out there,

Apparently THEY don’t even want it.

And we have a government of

Fools.

Cowards.

Liars.

If you’re not corrupt when you take office,

You’ll be corrupt by the time you leave.

I’m beginning to think there’s no such thing

As an “honest” politician.

But, I digress.

In many ways I yearn for the times long past.

You know the ones I mean.

When a person’s word meant something.

Commitments were honored.

Manners were observed.

Respect was earned.

And the Earth was still pure.

But, again, I digress.

I cleanse the air in my home.

And around my home.

In an effort to keep positive energy flowing.

Sometimes, it’s a struggle that

Wears me out.

Yet, I will continue to hope.

I will continue to try.

I will continue to spread love and laughter

Where I can.

For as long as I can.

And to Mother Nature

I can only say:

I am sorry.

Some of us are still trying

To honor your gifts.
