Sometimes it's okay to pretend
you're someone else.

Someone who is strong.
Doesn't feel pain.
Who isn't afraid.

Of everything.

Laughing when you want to cry.
Moving one foot in front of the other
when all you want to do is stop.

So easy that you lose sight of
who you REALLY are.

When was the last time
you said:
This is me.
Just me.
The way I am.

How far back must you go
to find the exact moment
you forgot how to be you?

Was it in the blink of an eye?
Or did it happen so gradually
you didn't even notice until
I mentioned it just now?

When did you put a sign on
the door to your Spirit?

Closed for renovations.
Reopening soon!
Sorry we missed you!

All lies, of course.
You're not renovating.
You're simply rearranging.

And that's not the same thing.

Somewhere along the line
you lost your Self.

Sometimes it's okay to admit weakness.
To feeling pain.
To being afraid.

You are not alone.

And you are not a robot.

Don't deny yourself the
gift of being Human.
