The Ladybug made her way slowly
Down the long, curvy road,
Unable to fly any longer.

At first, she mourned the loss of her freedom
To flit above the Earth,
And play with the Wind.

But eventually, she got used to being grounded
And one day realized all she had missed
From flying above the Land.

She saw an entirely new World
And stopped here and there,
Enchanted by a fragrant flower.

Of course there were dangers,
But she had always faced danger
Even when flying.

But now…oh the beauty!
The smells!
The sounds!

Sometimes she would
Wander off the road
To rest a bit.

It was these times
She would breathe.
Really breathe.

Deeply.
In silence.

And listen

To her heart beat.

Wrapped in Wonder.

Then she would continue
On her way down the road,
Filled with Happiness.

For one more day.
