Don’t Anger a Rat!
The rats stood shoulder to shoulder
After the cleansing Summer rain
And gazed at the double rainbows
Over the vast and wild terrain.
Then noses twitched and whiskers flicked.
With disbelief and sadness.
Who, they wondered, in their grief,
Was responsible for this madness.
Where there had once been fields of flowers
There now grew only weeds.
How could this have happened?
We planted many seeds!
The largest rat among the group
Raised a sword o'er his head.
The words that he then spoke aloud
Filled them all with dread.
We shall find the one who did this
And I warn them to be wary.
For even the very smallest rat
When angered, is quite scary!
Ack ticked off rats! Oh no!! You wouldn't happen to be talking about my yard? Ha ha ha.
