He came as if by magic,
as I lie in the morning Sun.
We sat for hours by the Ocean,
And soon my heart was won.

The afternoon brought gentle Rain
to cool our beaded skin.
I wondered, as we shared the day,
how deep he saw within.

Could he see behind my thin facade
when the Moon shone on my face?
Did he find the secrets hidden
in that closely guarded place?

He spoke to me of broken hearts
and dreams that often shatter.
Then said "Of all the things we seek,
true Love is all that matters."

And just as he had come to me
that day so long gone by,
he spread his Wings and vanished
into the starlit sky.

(a friend gave me the words
Sun, Rain, Moon, Love, Wings
to incorporate into a poem.)
